WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HEALING TOUCH?
Recent research studies suggest that Healing Touch is effective for physical and mental relaxation, pain management, anxiety and stress reduction. It has also been shown to increase one’s sense of vitality. To me the most profound benefit of Healing Touch is its ability to trigger the body’s own relaxation response, allowing time and space for the body to heal whatever needs healing. It may not be something that you are aware of. Many of my clients have reported an increased sense of well-being and peace after a treatment. Commonly, clients report they are better able to cope with illnesses medical protocols for treatment of other conditions and depression. While I can make no specific claims regarding the results you may experience I do know that it will help!
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A HEALING TOUCH SESSION?
During a session, which can range in length from 30-60 minutes, I will gently place my hands on or above the person’s fully clothed body noting any sensations or imbalances to assess the energy field. I then choose a Healing Touch techniques(s) that are appropriate to bring balance or remove blockages. This may include light physical touch or sweeping hand motions above the body. There is a high likelihood that you will experience a deep feeling of relaxation and peace during the session. A feedback discussion of findings and further recommendations always follows the treatment.
People have many different responses to Healing Touch. Some clients feel nothing at all, others describe sensations of moving energy, deep relaxation, feelings of being supported and nurtured or visions of images and colours. Some clients sleep while others remain fully awake. It is not uncommon to experience some sort of emotional release such as tears.
WHY GIVE IT A TRY?
Healing Touch is a gentle and effective tool for promoting health and wellness with no detrimental side effects. While you may not have specifically heard of it, energy therapies have been well recorded throughout history in all of the ancient cultures. It truly is a thousands of years old “new” therapy.
